A community space built by Indian K-culture fans, for Indian K-culture fans.
HallyuDesi started as a conversation between a group of friends in Mumbai who couldn't stop talking about K-dramas, obsessing over K-pop drops, and hunting down Korean food spots in the city. We realised there was no single place online that brought together the Indian Korean-culture experience — the local restaurants, the fan meets, the import stores, the language learners.
So we built one.
We are a small, passionate team of Korean culture enthusiasts based in Mumbai. We are not a media house or a corporation. We are fans — the same as you — who happen to know how to build websites.
Community first. HallyuDesi exists because of its community. Every feature is built around making it easier for Indian K-culture fans to connect, discover, and celebrate together.
No gatekeeping. Korean culture belongs to everyone who loves it. Whether you've been a fan for ten years or ten days, you are welcome here.
Honest and independent. We are not sponsored by labels, agencies, or brands. Our chart, our recommendations, and our content are editorially independent.
India-specific. We focus on the Indian experience of Korean culture — local events, local sellers, local fan communities. There are global sites for global content. This one is ours.
We love hearing from the community. Whether you want to contribute a blog post, list an event, suggest a feature, or just say hello — reach us at hallyudesi@zohomail.in.
